• Contact information: Email address (for delivering e-books and order confirmations).
• Payment information: We see whether a payment was successful. The actual payment details are securely processed by our payment provider.
• IP address: Your IP address is automatically collected when you place an order (for fraud prevention and tax rules for digital services).

Note: We do not collect sensitive personal data or medical information (such as pregnancy duration or medical conditions), unless you voluntarily provide it via email.

3. Why do we use this data? (Purposes and Legal Basis)

We process your data for the following purposes:

• Processing your order (Contract fulfillment): To process your order, verify payment, and deliver the product (digital or physical).
• Shipping (Contract fulfillment): For physical books, we share your address with our shipping provider.
• Legal obligations (Legal obligation): We are legally required to retain our records (invoices with your data) for 7 years for tax authorities.
• Marketing and Newsletter (Legitimate interest & Consent):
  • Customers: After purchasing a product, we may send you emails with tips and offers for similar products from The Active Mom. You can unsubscribe with one click in every email.
  • Leads (e.g., free download): If you download a free e-book, you explicitly consent to be added to our email series.

4. Who do we share your data with?

We never sell your data to third parties. We do work with partners who help us provide our services. Where necessary, we have data processing agreements with these partners to protect your privacy. These include:

• Checkout & Software: We use Plug & Pay for our checkout pages.
• Payments: Payments are securely processed via Mollie.
• Email marketing: We send our emails and manage our mailing lists via Systeme.io.
• Accounting: Invoices are processed in Moneybird.
• Shipping: For physical books, we share your address with DHL.
• Advertising: We share encrypted data with advertising platforms (such as Meta/Facebook and Google) to measure and optimize our ads (see 'Cookies' section).

5. Cookies and Tracking

The Active Mom uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer or phone.

• Functional cookies: Necessary for the website to work properly (for example, to remember what's in your shopping cart).

• Customer data and invoices: 7 years (legal retention requirement for tax authorities).
• Email marketing: We keep your data until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You'll find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.
